Ryzen 7 2700X vs Core i7-10700F benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-10700F is faster than the Ryzen 7 2700X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 2700X in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 7 2700X has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-10700F. Despite this, the Core i7-10700F has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i7-10700F outputs less heat than Ryzen 7 2700X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 2700X has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i7-10700F. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 2700X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
