In our benchmarks, the FX-8320 beats the Ryzen 7 2700U in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 2700U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the FX-8320 has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 7 2700U. A Ryzen 7 2700U CPU outputs less heat than a FX-8320 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP.
