Ryzen 7 2700U vs Core i5-3570K benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 2700U is faster than the Core i5-3570K. Despite this, the Core i5-3570K has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores but the Ryzen 7 2700U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-3570K has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 2700U. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 2700U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-3570K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 2700U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
