Ryzen 7 2700 vs Xeon W-2133 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 2700 performs better than the Xeon W-2133. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon W-2133 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 2700 has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Xeon W-2133 that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Xeon W-2133. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon W-2133 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 2700. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 2700 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 7 2700 CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon W-2133 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 2700 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
