Ryzen 7 2700 vs Ryzen 5 7600 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 7600 is faster than the Ryzen 7 2700. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 2700 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 2700 has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 7600 that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 7600. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 7600 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 2700. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 7600 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 7 2700. The Ryzen 5 7600 also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 2700 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
