Ryzen 7 2700 vs Core i5-12500H benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-12500H beats the Ryzen 7 2700 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 2700 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-12500H has significantly more cores with 12 cores compared to the Ryzen 7 2700 that has 8 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 2700 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-12500H. Despite this, the Core i5-12500H has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Core i5-12500H outputs less heat than Ryzen 7 2700 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-12500H has slightly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 7 2700. The Core i5-12500H also has slightly more L3 cache.
