Ryzen 7 2700 vs Core i5-10400 benchmarks

According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 2700 is faster than the Core i5-10400. Despite this, the Core i5-10400 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 2700 has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Core i5-10400 that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-10400. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 2700 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-10400. Despite this, the Core i5-10400 has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power).
