Ryzen 7 1800X vs Core i7-10870H specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 1800X is faster than the Core i7-10870H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-10870H in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 1800X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-10870H. The Core i7-10870H outputs less heat than Ryzen 7 1800X thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 1800X has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i7-10870H. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 1800X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
