Ryzen 7 1800X vs Core i5-10600KF benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-10600KF is faster than the Ryzen 7 1800X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 1800X in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 7 1800X has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Core i5-10600KF has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-10600KF. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-10600KF has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 1800X. A Ryzen 7 1800X CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-10600KF CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 1800X has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i5-10600KF. The Ryzen 7 1800X also has slightly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 1800X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
