Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U vs Ryzen 7 6800U benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 7 6800U performs better than the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 6800U has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 6800U has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U. Also, the Ryzen 7 6800U has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 6800U has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
