Ryzen 5 PRO 5650GE vs Core i5-12500T benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-12500T performs better than the Ryzen 5 PRO 5650GE. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 PRO 5650GE in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 PRO 5650GE has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-12500T. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-12500T has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 PRO 5650GE. The Core i5-12500T also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 PRO 5650GE has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
