Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U vs Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U performs better than the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Ryzen 5 PRO 7530U also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
