Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U vs Core i5-1335U benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-1335U performs better than the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-1335U has significantly more cores with 10 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U that has 6 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-1335U. In terms of cache, the Core i5-1335U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U. The Core i5-1335U also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
