Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE vs Core i7-12800H benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE is faster than the Core i7-12800H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i7-12800H in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-12800H has significantly more cores with 14 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-12800H. Despite this, the Core i7-12800H has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-12800H CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i7-12800H has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE. The Core i7-12800H also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 PRO 4650GE has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
