Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 vs Ryzen 5 7520U comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 performs better than the Ryzen 5 7520U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 7520U in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 7520U. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 7520U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 5 7520U outputs less heat than Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 also has significantly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
