Ryzen 5 7530U vs Core i5-13420H benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 7530U is faster than the Core i5-13420H. Despite this, the Core i5-13420H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-13420H has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 7530U has 6 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-13420H has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 7530U. Also, the Core i5-13420H has a slightly higher turbo speed. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i5-13420H has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 7530U. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 7530U has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core i5-13420H.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 7530U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
