Ryzen 5 6600H vs Ryzen 5 5500GT specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 6600H beats the Ryzen 5 5500GT in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 5500GT in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 5 6600H has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 5500GT has 3 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 5500GT. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 5500GT has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 6600H. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 6600H has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 5 6600H CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 5500GT CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 6600H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
