Ryzen 5 5625U vs Core i5-1235U benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 5625U is faster than the Core i5-1235U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-1235U in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-1235U has significantly more cores with 10 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 5625U has 6 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 5625U has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-1235U. Despite this, the Core i5-1235U has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 5625U has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-1235U. The Ryzen 5 5625U also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5625U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
