Ryzen 5 5600X vs Pentium G4560 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 5600X beats the Pentium G4560 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Pentium G4560 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 5 5600X has significantly more cores than the Pentium G4560. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600X has 6 cores compared to 2 cores found in the Pentium G4560. It also has more threads than the Pentium G4560. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 5600X has a slightly higher clock speed than the Pentium G4560. The Pentium G4560 outputs less heat than Ryzen 5 5600X thanks to a slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600X has significantly more L2 cache than the Pentium G4560. The Ryzen 5 5600X also has significantly more L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
