Ryzen 5 5600X vs Core i7-13850HX comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-13850HX is faster than the Ryzen 5 5600X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 5600X in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-13850HX has significantly more cores with 20 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 5600X has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 5600X. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 5 5600X has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-13850HX. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i7-13850HX has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 5600X. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 5600X has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core i7-13850HX.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
