Ryzen 5 5600X vs Core i5-13450HX specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-13450HX is faster than the Ryzen 5 5600X. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 5600X in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i5-13450HX has significantly more cores with 10 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 5600X that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 5600X. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 5600X has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-13450HX. In addition, both chips have the same turbo speed. The info from our database shows that the Core i5-13450HX has more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 5600X. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 5600X has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core i5-13450HX.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600X has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
