Ryzen 5 5600H vs Ryzen 7 5825U benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 5600H is faster than the Ryzen 7 5825U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5825U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 7 5825U has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 5600H that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 5600H. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 5600H has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 7 5825U. Despite this, the Ryzen 7 5825U has a slightly higher turbo speed. The Ryzen 7 5825U outputs less heat than Ryzen 5 5600H thanks to a significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 7 5825U has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 5600H. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
