Ryzen 5 5600H vs Ryzen 7 5800 benchmarks

In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 5600H beats the Ryzen 7 5800 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 7 5800 in all gaming tests too.

With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800 has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 5600H has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 5600H. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 5800 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 5600H. Also, the Ryzen 7 5800 has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 5 5600H CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 7 5800 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 7 5800 has slightly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 5600H. The Ryzen 7 5800 also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
