Ryzen 5 5600H vs FX-8320 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 5600H is faster than the FX-8320. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-8320 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 5 5600H has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the FX-8320 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the FX-8320. Our comparison shows that the FX-8320 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 5600H. A Ryzen 5 5600H CPU outputs less heat than a FX-8320 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the FX-8320 has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 5600H. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 5600H has significantly more L3 cache compared to the FX-8320.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
