Ryzen 5 5600H vs Core i7-12800H benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-12800H beats the Ryzen 5 5600H in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 5600H has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-12800H has significantly more cores with 14 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 5600H that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 5600H. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 5600H has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i7-12800H. Despite this, the Core i7-12800H has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i7-12800H has slightly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 5600H. The Core i7-12800H also has significantly more L3 cache.
