Ryzen 5 5600H vs Core i7-11800H benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Core i7-11800H beats the Ryzen 5 5600H in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 5600H in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i7-11800H has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 5600H has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 5600H. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 5600H has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i7-11800H. Despite this, the Core i7-11800H has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
