Ryzen 5 5600H vs Core i7-11700F specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i7-11700F is faster than the Ryzen 5 5600H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 5600H in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i7-11700F has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 5600H that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 5600H. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600H has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i7-11700F. Despite this, the Core i7-11700F has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 5 5600H CPU outputs less heat than a Core i7-11700F CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i7-11700F has slightly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 5600H. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
