Ryzen 5 5600H vs Core i5-10300H benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 5600H is faster than the Core i5-10300H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i5-10300H in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 5 5600H has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Core i5-10300H that has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the Core i5-10300H. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 5600H has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i5-10300H. Despite this, the Core i5-10300H has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 5600H has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-10300H. The Ryzen 5 5600H also has significantly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
