Ryzen 5 5600 vs Ryzen 7 PRO 3700 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700 is faster than the Ryzen 5 5600. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 5600 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700 has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 5600 has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 5600. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 5600. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 7 PRO 3700 has more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 5600. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
