AMD Ryzen 5 5600 vs Intel Core 5 120U

Ryzen 5 5600 vs Core 5 120U comparison

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 5600 performs better than the Core 5 120U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core 5 120U in all gaming tests too.

In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core 5 120U has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 5 5600. Indeed, the Core 5 120U has 10 cores compared to 6 cores found in the Ryzen 5 5600. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 5600 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core 5 120U. In terms of cache, the Core 5 120U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 5600. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 5600 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Core 5 120U.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5600 has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
