Ryzen 5 5560U vs Ryzen 5 5500X3D specs and performance

In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 5500X3D beats the Ryzen 5 5560U in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 5560U in all gaming tests too.

When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 5 5500X3D has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 5560U. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. A Ryzen 5 5560U CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 5500X3D CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Ryzen 5 5500X3D also has significantly more L3 cache.

The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 5560U has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
