Ryzen 5 4600H vs Core i5-13420H benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-13420H performs better than the Ryzen 5 4600H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 4600H in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-13420H has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 4600H has 6 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 4600H has a much higher clock speed than the Core i5-13420H. Despite this, the Core i5-13420H has a slightly higher turbo speed. The info from our database shows that the Core i5-13420H has more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 4600H. The Core i5-13420H also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 4600H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
