Ryzen 5 4600H vs Core i5-12600KF benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-12600KF performs better than the Ryzen 5 4600H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 4600H in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Core i5-12600KF has significantly more cores than the Ryzen 5 4600H. Indeed, the Core i5-12600KF has 10 cores compared to 6 cores found in the Ryzen 5 4600H. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 4600H. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-12600KF has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 4600H. A Ryzen 5 4600H CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-12600KF CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 4600H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
