Ryzen 5 4600H vs Core i5-12450H benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i5-12450H is faster than the Ryzen 5 4600H. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 4600H in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Core i5-12450H has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 4600H has 6 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 4600H has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i5-12450H. Despite this, the Core i5-12450H has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 4600H has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-12450H. Despite this, the Core i5-12450H has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 4600H.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 4600H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
