Ryzen 5 4600H vs Core i5-10500 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 4600H performs better than the Core i5-10500. Despite this, the Core i5-10500 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-10500 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 4600H. A Ryzen 5 4600H CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-10500 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The info from our database shows that the Ryzen 5 4600H has more L2 cache than the Core i5-10500. Despite this, the Core i5-10500 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 4600H.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 4600H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
