Ryzen 5 4600H vs Core i3-10300 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 4600H is faster than the Core i3-10300. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-10300 in all gaming tests too.
In terms of the number of cores of each of these CPUs, the Ryzen 5 4600H has significantly more cores than the Core i3-10300. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 4600H has 6 cores compared to 4 cores found in the Core i3-10300. It also has more threads than the Core i3-10300. Our comparison shows that the Core i3-10300 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 4600H. A Ryzen 5 4600H CPU outputs less heat than a Core i3-10300 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 4600H has significantly more L2 cache than the Core i3-10300. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 4600H has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
