Ryzen 5 4600G vs Xeon E5-2665 benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Xeon E5-2665 performs better than the Ryzen 5 4600G. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 4600G has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
With info from our database, we find that the Xeon E5-2665 has slightly more cores with 8 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 4600G has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 4600G. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 4600G has a significantly higher clock speed than the Xeon E5-2665. Also, the Ryzen 5 4600G has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 5 4600G CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2665 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 4600G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
