Ryzen 5 4600G vs FX-8350 specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 4600G is faster than the FX-8350. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the FX-8350 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 5 4600G has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the FX-8350 has 4 cores. It also has more threads than the FX-8350. These CPUs have different clock speeds. Indeed, the FX-8350 has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 4600G. In terms of cache, the FX-8350 has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 4600G. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 4600G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
