Ryzen 5 4600G vs Core i5-11400 benchmarks

Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Core i5-11400 performs better than the Ryzen 5 4600G. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 4600G in all gaming tests too.

Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores and the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 5 4600G has a slightly higher clock speed compared to the Core i5-11400. Despite this, the Core i5-11400 has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches. The Core i5-11400 also has significantly more L3 cache.

Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 4600G has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
