Ryzen 5 4500U vs Xeon E5-2643 benchmarks
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 4500U is faster than the Xeon E5-2643. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Xeon E5-2643 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 5 4500U has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Xeon E5-2643 has 4 cores. Despite this, the Xeon E5-2643 has more threads than the Ryzen 5 4500U. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-2643 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 4500U. A Ryzen 5 4500U CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-2643 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 5 4500U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
