Ryzen 5 4500U vs Xeon E5-1650 v2 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Xeon E5-1650 v2 beats the Ryzen 5 4500U in overall performance. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 4500U has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Xeon E5-1650 v2 has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Xeon E5-1650 v2 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 4500U. A Ryzen 5 4500U CPU outputs less heat than a Xeon E5-1650 v2 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 5 4500U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
