Ryzen 5 4500U vs Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 4500U beats the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 in all gaming tests too.
With info from our database, we find that the Ryzen 5 4500U has significantly more cores with 6 cores whereas the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 has 4 cores. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 has more threads than the Ryzen 5 4500U. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 4500U. A Ryzen 5 4500U CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 4500U has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 PRO 1500 has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 4500U.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. For instance, the Ryzen 5 4500U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
