Ryzen 5 4500U vs Ryzen 5 5500GT benchmarks
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 5500GT performs better than the Ryzen 5 4500U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 4500U in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 5 4500U has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 5500GT that has 3 cores. But they both have the same number of threads. Our comparison shows that the Ryzen 5 5500GT has a significantly higher clock speed compared to the Ryzen 5 4500U. Also, the Ryzen 5 5500GT has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 5 4500U CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 5500GT CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, both these CPUs have the same amount of L2 cache. The Ryzen 5 5500GT also has significantly more L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 5 4500U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
