Ryzen 5 4500U vs Ryzen 5 4600H comparison
Our benchmark analysis concludes that the Ryzen 5 4600H performs better than the Ryzen 5 4500U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 4500U in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Ryzen 5 4600H has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 4600H has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 4500U. Furthermore, both these CPUs have identical turbo speeds. A Ryzen 5 4500U CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 4600H CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The data shows that both these CPUs have same sized L2 caches and L3 cache.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 5 4500U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
