Ryzen 5 4500U vs Core i7-1165G7 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 4500U is faster than the Core i7-1165G7. Despite this, the Core i7-1165G7 has the advantage in our gaming benchmark.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Ryzen 5 4500U has significantly more cores with 6 cores compared to the Core i7-1165G7 that has 4 cores. Despite this, the Core i7-1165G7 has more threads than the Ryzen 5 4500U. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i7-1165G7 has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 4500U. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption.
The more cores a CPU has, the better the overall performance will be in parallel workloads such as multitasking. Many CPUs have more threads than cores, this means that each physical core is split into multiple logical cores, making them more efficient. For instance, the Ryzen 5 4500U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
