Ryzen 5 4500U vs Core i5-10600K specs and performance
In our benchmarks, the Core i5-10600K beats the Ryzen 5 4500U in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 4500U in all gaming tests too.
Our spec comparison shows that they have an identical amount of cores but the Core i5-10600K has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Core i5-10600K has a significantly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 4500U. A Ryzen 5 4500U CPU outputs less heat than a Core i5-10600K CPU because of its significantly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Ryzen 5 4500U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Core i5-10600K. Despite this, the Core i5-10600K has significantly more L3 cache compared to the Ryzen 5 4500U.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 5 4500U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
