Ryzen 5 4500U vs Core i3-N305 comparison
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Ryzen 5 4500U is faster than the Core i3-N305. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Core i3-N305 in all gaming tests too.
When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i3-N305 has slightly more cores with 8 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 4500U that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 4500U. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 4500U has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i3-N305. Also, the Ryzen 5 4500U has a slightly higher turbo speed. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Core i3-N305 has slightly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 4500U. Despite this, the Ryzen 5 4500U has slightly more L3 cache compared to the Core i3-N305.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 5 4500U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
