Ryzen 5 4500U vs Core i3-1215U specs and performance
According to the hardwareDB Benchmark tool, the Core i3-1215U is faster than the Ryzen 5 4500U. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 4500U in all gaming tests too.
Info from our database shows that they both have the same core count but the Core i3-1215U has more threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 4500U has a significantly higher clock speed than the Core i3-1215U. Both these chips have an identical TDP (Thermal Design Power). This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. In terms of cache, the Core i3-1215U has significantly more L2 cache when compared to the Ryzen 5 4500U. The Core i3-1215U also has slightly more L3 cache.
Modern CPUs generally have more logical cores than physical cores, this means that each core is split into multiple virtual cores, improving efficiency for parallel workloads. For instance, the Ryzen 5 4500U has the same number of threads as cores. This means the the CPU does not support hyperthreading.
