Ryzen 5 3600XT vs Ryzen 5 7600X benchmarks
In our benchmarks, the Ryzen 5 7600X beats the Ryzen 5 3600XT in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 3600XT in all gaming tests too.
When comparing these CPUs we notice that they have the same number of cores and the same number of threads. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 7600X has a slightly higher clock speed than the Ryzen 5 3600XT. Also, the Ryzen 5 7600X has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 5 3600XT CPU outputs less heat than a Ryzen 5 7600X CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 7600X has significantly more L2 cache than the Ryzen 5 3600XT. However, both these chips have the same amount of L3 cache.
Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 3600XT has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
