Ryzen 5 3600XT vs Core i9-10900KF comparison

In our benchmarks, the Core i9-10900KF beats the Ryzen 5 3600XT in overall performance. Furthermore, our gaming benchmark shows that it also outperforms the Ryzen 5 3600XT in all gaming tests too.

When comparing core counts for these CPUs, we notice that the Core i9-10900KF has significantly more cores with 10 cores compared to the Ryzen 5 3600XT that has 6 cores. It also has more threads than the Ryzen 5 3600XT. With our hardware info, we find that the Ryzen 5 3600XT has a slightly higher clock speed than the Core i9-10900KF. Despite this, the Core i9-10900KF has a slightly higher turbo speed. A Ryzen 5 3600XT CPU outputs less heat than a Core i9-10900KF CPU because of its slightly lower TDP. This measures the amount of heat they output and can be used to estimate power consumption. The cache sizes of these CPUs are different. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 3600XT has slightly more L2 cache than the Core i9-10900KF. The Ryzen 5 3600XT also has significantly more L3 cache.

Most CPUs have more threads than cores. This technology, colloquially called hyperthreading, improves performance by splitting a core into multiple virtual ones. This provides more efficient utilisation of a core. Indeed, the Ryzen 5 3600XT has more threads than cores. Each physical core is split into multiple threads.
